Bike Day

Bike Day was a lot of fun!  In the morning the students finished coloring their Bicycle safety books.  Then we discussed traffic lights and how red means Stop, green means Go, and yellow means Slow Down!  The students then made their own traffic lights by matching colors to color words.

After music we headed outside to first put on our helmets and then ride our bikes.  While riding bikes the students practiced stopping for red, going for green, and slowing down for yellow.

After the students finished riding and were nice and sweaty and hot, we cooled down by enjoying a Popsicle picnic in the Memorial Garden.  We then played an intense game of sharks and minnows and rounded the day off by enjoying the weather at the playground!

Happy Birthday!!

A favorite activity - water pouring which sharpens hand eye coordination and measuring skills.

Duckies in a tub!  The students had to identify the numbers and letters on the bottom of the ducks as they pulled them out of the water.

Working together to correctly sequence the alphabet and the numbers 1-20 using play-doh and craft sticks.

Beginning letter sounds and letter bingo!
